Sentigermum

Hi, I’m Kathryn—founder of SENTigerMum, in my 40s, and mum to two wonderful children with a mixture of special educational needs.

It’s been a journey.

For years, I’ve been advocating for my little ones—navigating the complex world of EHCPs, school placements, and support systems, all while juggling work and life in the middle of chaos. And while it wasn’t easy, we’re now in a place where we’re finally thriving—but getting here took strength, resilience, and a lot of learning.

There was a moment, right in the thick of it, when I realised: we weren’t all thriving. We were surviving. And I knew something had to change—not just for my children, but for me too. That’s when I made the decision to do things differently, to shift the focus from just fighting fires to building a better future for all of us.

This path hasn’t been smooth. The emotional toll of advocating for your child’s most basic needs—just to be seen, supported, and understood—can be exhausting, both mentally and physically. And it can be incredibly lonely.

That’s why I started SENTigerMum.

I’m here to offer real-life advice, guidance, and honest support for parents walking this same path. From preparing for EHCPs to coping with the day-to-day, I want to help you feel more equipped, less overwhelmed, and more hopeful. My goal is to help you move your whole family toward a place where you’re not just managing—but thriving.

I came to SENTigerMum feeling completely lost and burnt out. What I found was not just support, but hope. The ongoing check-ins, the practical help, and just having someone believe in me as a parent has meant everything. It’s made such a difference to my confidence and to my child’s progress.

SENTigerMum has been a lifeline for our family. From the very first chat, I felt seen and understood. The ongoing support has helped me make sense of EHCPs, school meetings, and even the day-to-day meltdowns. I genuinely don’t know how we managed before. It’s like having someone in your corner who really gets
